چکیده
Abstract The present study is meant to obtain tribological insight into the interface of a rolling rubber wheel on counter-surface disk based work previous Salehi et al. (Tribol Lett 68(1):37, 2020), in which new test method was developed rapidly predict tire grip laboratory environment. A Laboratory Abrasion Tester (LAT100) used and exploited as tribometer. This opened cost- time-effective horizon for material development environment rather than having tread compounds by building full-scale tires. validated comprehensive six different compositions, correlating data solid wheels LAT100 specimens with real results two modalities: lateral ( ? ) longitudinal ? sweep tests dry road. It demonstrated that can be simulate $$\alpha$$ ? -sweep tests, but not $$\kappa$$ ? -sweep. dynamics physics step-up are investigated utilizing renowned physical “brush model” comparison tests. type modality leads friction mechanisms contact patch even at similar conditions. substantiated recognizing regions: stationary non-stationary, area components mechanisms. behavior movements same conditions comparable if contributions mentioned regions similar.

Understanding Parameters Influencing Tire Modeling
The purpose of this document is to describe important tire characteristics and their effect on vehicle performance. Characteristics considered are those that the Formula SAE judges have deemed important for discussion on tires at competition and include coefficient of friction, slip angle, slip ratio, camber angle, cornering stiffness, camber stiffness, self-aligning torque, normal load sensiti...
متن کاملA Novel Approach to Real Time Tire-Road Grip and Slip Monitoring
It is a very challenging task to measure longitudinal slip of a tire on road surface in normal driving conditions, because of the very small value of the slip (a few 1/1000). This paper presents an industrially deployable method for Tire-Road Friction (TRF) monitoring applied to passenger vehicle. This method estimates the longitudinal wheel slip κ and the normalized friction coefficient μ, for...
متن کاملPrediction of Tire/Wet Road Friction and its Variation with Speed from Road Macro- and Microtexture, and Tire-Related Properties
In this paper, validation of a model for the speed dependency of friction is presented. Based on the shape of the friction – speed curve, the model assumes that calculation of friction at any speed would need an estimate of friction at very low speed, and the knowledge of its variation with speed described by the Stribeck curve. Two existing models developed at LCPC are then coupled to predict ...
متن کاملEstimation of Tire-Road Friction by Tire Rotational Vibration Model
Tire-road friction is the most important piece of information used by active safety systems. However, most conventional friction estimation/ detection methods are accurate only within the non-linear region. In addition, such methods require numerous sensors, such as yaw rate sensors, acceleration sensors, and steering angle sensors. In this paper, a friction estimation method using a tire vibra...
متن کاملTest setup for tire/road noise caused by road impact excitations: first outlines
This paper describes the design and first experimental results of a novel test setup to measure the impact response of a rotating tire. The test setup is based on a tire on tire principle, which requires less space than a classic drum (rigid rotating cylinder). The setup is used to analyse mechanisms of tire/road noise during road impact excitations, such as a cobbled roads, joints of a concret...
